Terms & conditions
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to families who enroll a child in a VAC Enrichment class, camp or party. Schools, districts and senior living communities are covered by their partnership agreement with VAC. By registering, you agree to the terms below.
Enrollment and Attendance
Class dates, times and locations are confirmed by email before the session begins. If you have not received your class details by the week the session starts, contact your school's enrichment office or admin@vineyardappcamp.com.
Students should arrive on time. A student who arrives late may miss part of the lesson and, for safety reasons, may not be able to join an activity already in progress. Make-up classes are not offered for missed sessions, and dismissal follows the host school's own pickup and sign-out procedures.
Payment, Cancellations and Refunds
Tuition is due at registration unless your school has arranged otherwise. If VAC cancels a class, or a class cannot run because the host school is closed, you will receive a prorated credit or a make-up session for the affected class. If a portion of the program cannot be completed for reasons within VAC's responsibility, you will receive a prorated credit on your account for the uncompleted portion.
Withdrawals requested before the first class are refunded in full, less any non-refundable fees the host school charges. After the first class, no refunds or proration are given except as described above. Birthday parties may be rescheduled up to seven days before the event; cancellations within seven days forfeit the deposit.
Materials and Student Work
Class materials are provided by VAC or the host school, as listed for each class. Projects a student makes in class belong to the student, including any rights in them. Equipment that VAC lends during class, such as robots, tablets and kitchen tools, remains VAC's property.
Health, Safety and Conduct
Every VAC instructor passes state, local and national background checks and any additional screening the host school requires. Parents agree to share allergies, dietary restrictions and other need-to-know health information with VAC and the host school before the first class, particularly for cooking programs. Students are expected to follow instructor directions and the host school's code of conduct. VAC may remove a student whose behavior endangers others, without refund, after consulting with the family and school.
Media Release
Unless you opt out in writing, you permit VAC Enrichment to use photographs and video of your child as a program participant in promotional materials, social media and the VAC website. Your child's name will not be published. To opt out, email admin@vineyardappcamp.com at any time.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Hands-on enrichment activities, including cooking, science, robotics, sports and arts, carry ordinary risks of physical activity. As parent or guardian, you confirm that your child is fit to participate in the program(s) you have chosen, and you assume the risks incidental to those activities.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU RELEASE, AND AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, VINEYARD APP CAMP LLC (DOING BUSINESS AS VAC ENRICHMENT) AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, INSTRUCTORS, VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, "RELEASEES") FROM ANY CLAIM OR LIABILITY, INCLUDING REASONABLE LEGAL FEES, ARISING FROM YOUR CHILD'S PARTICIPATION IN ANY VAC PROGRAM, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH ACTIVITY IS PART OF A FORMAL LESSON, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT CAUSED BY THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OF RELEASEES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS RELEASE HAS LEGAL AND BINDING CONSEQUENCES AND THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD IT BEFORE REGISTERING.
Privacy
VAC collects the information needed to run its programs, such as student names, grades, emergency contacts and health notes, and shares it only with the host school and the assigned instructor. See our privacy policy for details.
Online Learning Platform (www.vaclearn.com)
Some classes use VAC's student learning site, www.vaclearn.com. Students use it only for their VAC class: to view lessons, follow along with the class slides and build projects. Students agree to use a username that is not their full name, to be kind in anything they share, and not to copy or share other students' work without permission. Projects students create on the platform belong to the student; VAC may store and display them to the student, their instructor and their school to run the class. VAC's lessons, slides and other materials remain VAC's property and may not be copied or shared outside the class. Students under 13 use the platform through their school or program partner, which handles any parental consent required by law (see our privacy policy).
The platform is provided as is, and features may change or be discontinued. VAC may suspend an account that is misused. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, email admin@vineyardappcamp.com and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to These Terms
VAC may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of registration applies to that session. Questions: admin@vineyardappcamp.com.
